LCDAS provides sterilization for pets of owners receiving public assistance. The sterilization is free with the purchase of the county license. Proof of public assistance is required to receive these services for no fee plus the cost of the license. This program is only available for pet owners receiving public assistance. Anyone who fails to provide proof of public assistance the day of surgery will be charged the following fees:
Male Cat - $50
Female Cat - $75
Male Dog - $100
Female Dog up to 50 pounds - $100
Female Dogs 51 to 100 pounds - $125
Female Dogs over 100 pounds - $150
*These fees are inclusive and cover the cost of the license if needed.
LCDAS also provides sterilization of feral outdoor cats through a Trap, Neuter and Return (TNR) Program. The $20 fee per TNR cat may be waived if the caretaker agrees to adopt a feral cat needing relocation to a new home.
